‘Heart of Helene Poplar - Black Mountain,NC’ is a hand-pressed tree ring ink impression made from the end grain cross section of a downed poplar tree salvaged from the debris of Hurricane Helene in Black Mountain, NC near the Brunette Reservoir. Each print in this edition is a hand-pulled ink rubbing printed on archival paper using traditional block printing methods. Due to the nature of printmaking by hand, slight variations or nuances may exist from one print to another. This is to be expected and demonstrates the true nature printmaking and of an original handmade artwork.

Printed using black Wash ink on white Japanese Masa archival printmaking paper 

Each print is individually signed and dated by the artist
